Amina 'above perforations' ceiling tile warm sound flat panel loudspeaker suitable for installations where the light weight panel loudspeaker is required to be positioned on top of a perforated steel ceiling tile or behind a perforated steel wall mounted grille. The lightweight nature of the product means this actually requires nominal support structures.
For corporate, leisure, retail, education, transport and conferencing locations requiring discrete sound systems (voice, music and sound masking), the Amina above perforations module Panel loudspeakers provide a unique and unobtrusive high quality voice and music reproduction solution.
The above perforation module panel loudspeakers are mounted very simply using a perimeter adhesive system.
The perimeter of the front face of the module has a 10mm wide strip of double-sided foam adhesive tape. Simply remove the release paper, and press the module on to the clean surface of the rear of the perforated steel ceiling tile. The front face of the module has a black coating in order to be unseen, once in place, through the ceiling tile perforations.
The rear of the Above Perforation Module Speaker has an open cell foam lined aluminium grille structure to allow the product to vent rewards and take advantage of the resonant cavity created by the space above the ceiling, helping extend further the low frequency generated by the panel loudspeaker. The lined grille also prevents the ingress of dust and other particles on to the vibrating surface of the loudspeaker.
Coverage: One panel will be sufficient to create an even sound level in a room 5m x 5m. Add one additional panel for each additional 25m2 area coverage required. In sound masking and voice reinforcement applications, space the panels evenly across the space to be covered. In surround-sound applications, position the panels accordingly (e.g. front left, front right, front centre, rear left and rear right)
Typical Venues: Meeting rooms, Churches, Halls, Atria, Law Courts, Council
Chambers, retail sites, offices, airports, concourses, schools, universities,
conference facilities, hotels etc.
Product outside dimensions: 426mm x 326mm x 34mm
Active Panel Size: 400mm x 300mm x 3mm
Panel Material: Warm sound; resin impregnated glass core, Melamine with black vinyl front surface to create shadow through perforations. 850g/m2
Product Weight: 1.3Kg
Frame: Formed aluminium, black powder coated.
Fixings: Foam adhesive on front lip to bond speaker to back of perforated steel ceiling tile.
Electrical connection: Heavy duty industrial spring clip type.
Impedance: 8 ohms nominal
Phase remains within +36/-5 degrees for DC – 20KHz
Frequency response: 100Hz – 15000Hz [typical: HF is dependent on ceiling tile perforations]
1m On Axis Frequency Response: [3rd octave-smoothed; below ~300Hz unreliable]
Sensitivity: 86dB/2.83V/1m
Power Handling: [Power ratings assume full bandwidth operation. To avoid excessive mechanical noise a high pass filter is essential. This will increase the power handling and the subsequent peak sound pressure level]
Maximum Peak Power input = 40W (crossover at 80Hz)
Maximum Peak SPL > 99dB @ 1m (crossover at 80Hz)
Minimum Filter requirement: Amina AF2 high pass filter
80Hz @ 24dB per octave.
Placement: For best results adhere centrally to the back of a perforated ceiling tile
Dispersion angle: Greater than 150 degrees.
